The big game is in town! The Puppy Bowl! To mark the 10th anniversary of Animal Planet’s annual pup game, Discovery Times Square is hosting a cool Puppy Bowl Experience. Mom checked out the exhibit last night at a special VIP showcase. Of course, the VIPs were the very adorable and adoptable pooches!

17 Jul

Our friend, Cuba from PawVogue, asked to interview us for his popular radio show on Pet Life Radio. We barked about our travels, our time on the hit reality show Doggie Moms, some of our favorite events, and doggy fashion. It was a fun show and we were happy to share some of our experiences and tips with Cuba! We revealed our two favorite doggy vacation destinations and more! You’ll have to listen to hear what we said!

Cuba’s upcoming Paw Talk Show radio guests include Andrea Arden and Dogtipper.com.

D Pet Hotels hosts DOGumentary screening | thepupdiary.com

11 Jul

Popcorn, pups, and Pinot Grigio — a pawfect way to relax on a hot and steamy summer evening. Even more pawfect, the aforementioned treats were at D Pet Hotels in Chelsea for the special screening of The DOGumentary: New York City’s Most Talented Dogs. The short film, produced by Pet VĂ©ritĂ©, featured dogs doing what they do best – playing, romping, skateboarding, loving, kissing, modeling . . . even hula hooping! Most touching to us were the rescue stories where we often wondered who rescued who.

Inspired by NYC’s pups who are involved in “everything from sports to fashion to charity work”, Pet VĂ©ritĂ© sent out a casting call earlier this year looking for undiscovered amateur dogs to come in and show their talent. Dozens of dogs accepted the call and headed to D Pet Hotels in Chelsea to film. Pet VĂ©ritĂ© captured so many cute and candid moments in The DOGumentary. We think a CATumentary should follow! If you’d like your own custom doggy video, check the Pet VĂ©ritĂ© website for details.

Michael Keaton from Batman to Birdman | thepupdiary.com

25 Jun

Michael Keaton, the quirky and handsome actor who played Batman, was hanging around our apartment building while filming a new movie, Birdman. Keaton, now in his 60s, still looks great according to our mom! Although we don’t usually like to have film sets on our street, it was fun watching the action scenes being filmed. The costumed “Birdman” fit right in with the other colorful neighborhood characters we see every day! Mom will definitely have to rent this movie for us to watch. They even used a doggy extra in one of the scenes! The movie opens in 2014 and also stars Edward Norton, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts.

Play date with Val Chmerkovskiy’s pup, Sir Sleep | thepupdiary.com

20 Jun

It’s not every day we get to romp with Dancing with the Stars Val Chmerkovskiy’s English Bulldog pup, Sir Sleep! Sir Sleep, wearing a custom-made tuxedo, is a real cutie pie. (And Val is pretty adorable, too! BOL!!) Truth be told, Cubby loves to watch Dancing with the Stars. Not sure if it is the shimmering costumes or the shakes, rattles, and rolls, but she is hooked!

Sir Sleep helps promote P&G IAMS Dog Food

Sir Sleep helps promote P&G IAMS Dog Food

Val and Sir Sleep were in New York City yesterday to help promote Procter & Gamble’s Everyday Effect program, P&G’s largest consumer event ever. Sir Sleep held court near the 72nd Street Dog Run in Riverside Park and of course his featured brand was IAMS dog food. Mom doesn’t feed us IAMS, but we do use many other P&G products like Swiffer, Charmin, and Puffs. We got a cool goody box with many of the P&G products in sample sizes. This will be pawfect for our upcoming camping trip at Glen Highland Farm! Sir Sleep gave us some IAMS So Good doggy treats to try!

Sir Sleep wasn’t really into romping. We guess that is why he is called Sir Sleep! But he and Val were both very nice. Throughout the day, P&G gave out over 40,000 free products around the city. We hope Sir Sleep got lots of IAMS treats!!
